Program Description

What Is Hot Shots Tennis?

ANZ Tennis Hot Shots is a national program designed by Tennis Australia to maximise fun and accelerate development for junior tennis players. Hot Shots is a fun, social and active program for 3-12 year olds and simply the easiest way to learn to play tennis. The courts are smaller and the low compression balls don’t bounce as high so they are easy to hit.

Program Information

The Red stage is for beginners. The red ball is larger than a yellow ball and doesn’t bounce as high (just 25 per cent compression), making it a breeze for even the youngest players to hit it comfortably. The courts and nets used in the Red stage are much smaller and easier for kids to move around. students are introduced to the forehand groundstroke, backhand groundstroke, volleys, smash, serve and how to rally.

Our lessons follow a skill acquisition programme developed by Tennis Australia which is designed to develop physical skills such as hand-eye coordination, balance, movement, and spatial awareness.

Our Toptenn coaches incorporate a wide range of activities in their lessons, making them exciting, challenging, success orientated, and above all – FUN!
