CLASS/TOPTENN INFORMATION
AT WHAT AGE CAN MY CHILD START TENNIS?
We encourage students to start tennis with us from the age of 4.
We have programs suitable for all junior ages & abilities.
HOW LONG DOES EACH SESSION GO FOR?
All Hotshot lessons go for 45 minutes
Squad lessons go for 60 minutes
Adult Coaching lessons go for 60 minutes
Cardio Tennis lessons go for 60 minutes
DOES MY CHILD REQUIRE A RACQUET FOR THEIR TRIAL LESSON?
We have plenty of racquets at each venue which your child can borrow for their trial lesson.
We do encourage each student to have their own racquet so they can practice at home and upon registering, you have the option to purchase a new Head tennis racquet through our pro-shop.
CAN I SIGN UP AFTER THE TERM HAS STARTED?
Yes! We allow students to start with us at whatever time it suits. A pro rata invoice will be created for the weeks that you miss out on.

CANCELLATIONS/ABSENCES
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT IS RAINING?
Assume that lessons will still be going ahead even if it is raining (it depends on court conditions & forecast). If we need to cancel a lesson due to rain, we will send out a text message to let you know and a make-up class will be triggered in our system. You can then make up this class at anytime throughout the term when it suits you.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT IS VERY HOT?
Assume that lessons will be going ahead even if it is very hot (depends on forecast, humidity and our access to shade). If the temperature is forecast to hit 38 degrees during a lesson, we will cancel that particular lesson but earlier/later lessons may still be going ahead. We will always send out a text message if we are going to cancel lessons due to extreme heat.
WHAT IF I AM UNABLE TO ATTEND A LESSON?
You can notify absence via the customer portal app. Provided sufficient notice is given (2hrs for group lessons & 8hrs for private lessons, a make-up class will be triggered so you can make-up the lesson at a time that suits you throughout the term.

CAN MY MAKE-UP LESSONS CARRY OVER TO THE FOLLOWING TERM?
Unfortunately not. Any make-ups for notified absences must be booked during the term in which the absence was notified.
IF MY LESSON WAS CANCELLED BY TOPTENN, CAN I HAVE CREDIT FOR THAT MISSED CLASS?
Yes you can. If a lesson is cancelled by Toptenn (inclement weather, coach illness/event, court clash etc.) a make-up will be automatically triggered in our system for you. You can choose to book that make-up lesson in the same term or if you are unable to organise a make-up, you can have a credit applied to any future invoices by contacting our office and asking.
IF I PICK MY STUDENT UP FROM SCHOOL SICK & DON'T PROVIDE SUFFICIENT NOTICE OF ABSENCE, WILL I RECEIVE A MAKE-UP?
Unfortunately not. We require 2hrs minimum for group lessons & 8hrs minimum for private lessons to allow for other students to be booked into their place in that class. Sometimes in emergency situations or where a doctor's certificate is provided, we can make an exception to this rule so please contact our office on 9830 6618 to discuss.
HOW CAN I PURCHASE A RACQUET?
We have racquets that are available for purchase at our pro shop that is located at the Burwood Tennis Club.
If you purchased a racquet pack through your registration, a correctly sized new racquet will be given to you at your next lesson
CAN WE HIRE THE TENNIS COURTS OUT CASUALLY?
We do not take court hire bookings, but the following venues can be booked online. Visit the websites for more information
